The HeartKids SA Team is proud and eager to participate in the City-Bay Event.

Thank you to the wonderful people who have set up their independent Hero Pages to raise funds for HeartKids. Due to an initial setup error their efforts are not recorded on the meter to the right but we will keep you updated with a tally at the top of this page!

As of Thursday 21st August HeartKids has received $8203 already from generous donors in support of our City-Bay efforts. All funds raised will be going towards boosting Support Services for our HeartKids SA community.

We thank the 'big kids' who donate from their heart to support HeartKids SA.

The Sunday Mail City-Bay 2008 for HeartKids SA

6 babies will be born today with Childhood Heart Disease (CHD). It is the most common birth abnormality and the leading cause of death in young children in Australia, accounting for more than 30% of all childhood deaths. CHD takes more lives than all other childhood diseases combined. HeartKids SA provide support to children who are born with or acquire CHD, many of whom undergo life-giving heart surgery. We strive to bring hope and understanding to their families as they navigate their way through very difficult journeys.
