Mitrataa Foundation

Mitrataa Foundation’s vision is to do itself out of a job in Nepal. We work with women and girls, teaching them to dream and empowering them through education and training initiatives. Our model is to share skills, creating opportunities that encourage the Nepalese people to take responsibility for their future. In 2011 we took over management of a children’s home in Kathmandu with a view to making it a wonderful home for the over 200 at-risk children living there! The plan is to set up a sustainable model for the running of the home so that we can return it to local management within 5 years.
