Kids Helpline

Every 60 seconds a young person reaches out to Kids Helpline. We answer more than 5,500 cries for help every week from young Australians.
On a recent Friday night we received 65 calls in the space of three hours. Some of the issues our counsellors were presented with that night included:
19 year old contemplating suicide
16 year old male who had been sexually abused
12 year old girl dealing with family separation
14 year old male being bullied at school
18 year old girl with serious substance abuse issues
We are here for all young people. There is no issue is too big or small.
We have more than 130 professionally qualified counsellors who respond to almost 270,000 contacts made by young people every year. Sadly, there are still thousands of calls that go unanswered.
