50% of the world’s plants species are facing extinction. If we don’t do something about it soon we will lose a species a day for the next 50 years. The Royal Botanic Gardens is committed to reversing this trend and protecting the plant species of our planet through the NSW Seedbank, part of an international network described by Sir David Attenborough as ‘perhaps the most important conservation initiative ever’.
Our Save a Species campaign is an easy way to fundraise for the NSW Seedbank. Choose a challenge – either on your own or with a group – then get your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. If you can raise $2,000 you can actually save a plant species from extinction and for a lesser amount you can make a wonderful contribution to the ongoing work of the Seedbank. Take the first step and get involved today to raise funds for a greener, more secure future.
