The John Hunter Children’s Hospital is a 114 bed specialised children’s hospital. It is one of three children’s hospitals in New South Wales and the only such facility in Australia located outside of a capital city.
John Hunter Children’s Hospital cares for almost 70,000 children and young people each year through emergency, intensive care, inpatient admissions and outpatient services.
Staff at John Hunter Children’s Hospital treat children and young people from a wide geographical area stretching from Wyong, north to the Queensland border, and west to the New England tablelands, from birth to 18 years of age.
