Tiny babies at Flinders need our help

From the 19th to the 26th of April 2009 I will cycle from Geelong in Victoria to Salisbury, South Australia to raise funds for the Neonatal Unit at Flinders Medical Centre.

The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation is attempting to raise $226,975 to purchase a dedicated echocardiography machine for the Neonatal Unit to improve outcomes for sick and premature babies.

They need this machine to monitor these tiny fragile hearts as many of these babies have heart and blood flow problems.

The machine will also have 3D technology that will help researchers look at ways to improve outcomes for premature babies to ensure that they will have the best chance at a healthy development.

Please take a moment to consider supporting this campaign by making a donation online. Alls the better if we exceed my fundraising target as we'll help the Foundation get one step closer to purchasing this vital equipment. Sponsors also required for the uniform starting from $1000. Please contact me.
Every bit helps.

thanks to Guardian Insurance $1000.00, Power Of Dreams $10,000, San Giorgio Martire $1000, Fasta Pasta $1000, Vengeance Fight Wear $1000, Kj Fabrication $500.00, Maesbury Plumbing $500 and Juggernaut Entertainment $500

Supporting Research & Care at Flinders for Flinders Medical Centre Foundation

The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation raises money for vital medical research and equipment for the Flinders Medical Centre, to improve the quality of life for present and future generations.

Funds raised support more than 400 medical researchers that are based at Flinders, many of whom are world leaders in areas such as cancer, heart and degenerative diseases, to name but a few.

The Foundation is also working to build the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer (FCIC), which will be the first comprehensive cancer centre focusing on the science of cancer prevention in Australia.

The FCIC will bring the brightest minds and kindest hearts together under the one roof to change the face of cancer.
