‘Kilometres for Kids’ (K4K) is an annual organised ride, which started in 2007 with a 5 day ride from Sydney to Melbourne. Since 2007, K4K event has evolved into a 3 Day/Stage Tour.  In 2012 we are returning to the beautiful Hunter Valley.

The event is open to any cycling enthusiast who wants to participate in three great days of cycling, with a great bunch of people, and make a difference to the lives of some fantastic young kids who are doing it a little tough.

K4K participant package

Each rider participating in K4K pays a registration fee of $875, which covers your accommodation and meals, including:

  • 3 nights in a shared Twin room (sharing with a nominated K4K participant. Your own room can be arranged at an additional cost.)
  • All meals, including:
    • 1 x welcome dinner package
    • 2 x presentation dinner packages
    • 3 x breakfasts
    • 3 x lunches

More room option

For an additional $380, you can have your own room (ie. not share accommodation with another K4K rider).

Social tickets

Social tickets are also available for those not participating in the ride, but who wish to join K4K riders for meals (except for 2 lunches out on course) for $340pp.

Accommodation costs are not included.

Fundraising commitments

Each rider also commits to fundraising $3,000 each, to enable the K4K team to reach this year's goal of $100,000.

John Maclean Foundation

The John Maclean Foundation (JMF) exists to change the lives of young Australians who use wheelchairs. Our mission is to inspire, motivate and enable these great kids to chase their dreams. JMF provides financial assistance to purchase items such as new wheelchairs, vehicle and house modifications, surgery and medical assistance, computers, remedial aids or any item that improves the quality of life for the child and their family.
