BT4BC, Black Tie For Breast Cancer, is working with the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation to raise funds to benefit breast cancer patients receiving treatment at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick.  In particular, we are raising funds for the development of the Comprehensive Cancer and Blood Disorders Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital, which will also provide treatment and services for patients with cancer at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women.

In 2010, the inaugural Black Tie for Breast Cancer Charity Gala was held which attracted 430 guests and raised $100, 000.  In 2011, the event was back by popular demand with over 600 guests in attendance who each helped raise a further $145, 000.  The Committee is currently in the process of organising the 2012 event.

BT4BC was formed in February 2009 by a young woman whose mother had been receiving treatment for metastatic breast cancer at the Prince of Wales Hospital and passed away in May 2009.   Each of the other committee members has been affected in some way by breast cancer and as a result has been motivated to raise funds for a very worthy cause.

Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation

Every patients journey is unique and the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation understands that, so we raise money to promote health and research to support the care of patients at the Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick. Monies donated through Everyday Hero will support the mums, dads, grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts, sisters and brothers who need our care.
