To be First in First Aid for people in sickness, distress or suffering at so many community events NSW requires St John volunteers to be increasingly mobile. To this end they have introduced Bicycle Emergency Response Teams (BERTs). Complete with a defibrillator, trauma and oxygen kits and essential First Aid, teams of two volunteers are deployed to larger events to act in a rapid response capacity and so continue the St John commitment to always be there with no agenda but to care.
