Steve Irwin Day on 15 November is the annual event to celebrate the extraordinary life of the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.
On Steve Irwin Day, people from all corners of the globe join together to raise money for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors conservation projects. The day will represent the many things Steve was passionate about - family, fun and wildlife conservation.
There are three main ways you can participate in Steve Irwin Day:
1. Khaki Day - don your khakis for Khaki Day. Get your workmates together for a morning tea for a gold coin donation! Host a Khaki Day in the week leading up to Steve Irwin Day.
2. Backyard Campout - get back to nature with your friends or family for a campout. Get sponsors for your campout to help you raise money! Backyard Campout can be celebrated during 14-17 November.
3. Visit Australia Zoo - for a huge celebration with special guest performers and activities for all ages! To add to the festivities, Australia Zoo is also hosting a Gala Dinner in Brisbane to raise even more funds for conservation. Wooo-hoo!
