You can help stop violence against women
We all think that our family, friends, neighbours and ourselves are safe at home. But sadly, for many, this is not always the case. On average, one woman is killed every week by a current or former partner in Australia. And one in four young Australians are exposed to domestic violence.
This year White Ribbon Night falls on Friday 25 July. Join communities across Australia to unite in support of bringing an end to violence against women by having a night in to get the word out!
You can invite two people or 2,000 to your movie night, games night, dinner party, watch the footy with mates... the possibilities are endless!
Donations will support White Ribbon's work to prevent violence against women before it occurs and help drive social change. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
White Ribbon Australia
The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest global male-led movement to stop men’s violence against women. It engages men and boys to lead this social change.
White Ribbon Australia is an organisation that recognises the prevalence and damaging impact of violence against women in our community. Domestic and family violence is the principle cause of homelessness for women and their children. Violence against women is estimated to cost $14.4 billion to the Australian economy per annum.
White Ribbon Australia works to prevent violence against women by changing the attitudes and behaviours that allow it to occur. It does this through a combination of prevention programs in schools and workplaces, an Ambassador program and initiatives in communities, universities and sporting codes.
