2013 Challenge
On Monday the 13th of May the CareFlight Base to Base Cycle Challenge will see a group of 35 elite cyclists, athletes, celebrities and CEOs take the challenge of riding 250kms from the Toowoomba CareFlight Base to the Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.
Each of the riders have set up their own fundraising page with the mission to raise much needed funds for CareFlight. They will be supported by their friends, families and colleagues as they ride to save lives.

RACQ CareFlight Rescue QLD
RACQ CareFlight Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a helicopter rescue service to residents and visitors of southern Queensland. Established in 1981 the service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year covering an area of over 800,000 sq km.
CareFlight has grown to meet the ever increasing demand for aero-medical services and now comprises a fleet of 5 community rescue helicopters. In rural and regional areas which are often located many hours away from the state's major hospitals - CareFlight Rescue is an integral link in the lifesaving rescue chain of survival, which includes dispatch centers, road ambulances, search and rescue organisations, and regional hospital medical teams. Our mission is to save lives and serve the community through the provision of rapid response critical care. |
