CAIRNS TO KARUMBA BIKE RIDE 2012

Support the 'bush kids' of far north Queensland in 2012 as you take on the ride of a lifetime! Throughout the past 14 years the Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride has raised over $650 000 to support the Cairns School of Distance Education, small schools across Cape York and a range of other local beneficiaries (see event website for further details).

In 2012 the funds raised by this event will further contribute to the improvement in the quality of educational opportunities for Queensland students who live in remote localities. Specifically funds will contribute to the enhancement of equipment, facilities, educational trips, sporting opportunities and other trips.

Riders can choose to take on either the road or dirt (mountain bike) options of this magnificent trip across Cape York. With volunteers supporting each pack of riders this is a safe way to enjoy a cycling experience you'll never forget. All meals are provided for by the fabulous volunteers of the "Road Kill Catering Company".
