Footloose Friday™

Footloose Friday™ is Wesley Mission Brisbane’s signature annual fundraising event.

 

On Footloose Friday™ everyone is encouraged to make a donation to help struggling Queenslanders get back on their feet and to wear purple footwear in support of Wesley Mission Brisbane’s work.

 

 Why should you get involved?

 

Footloose Friday™ is about having fun while helping struggling Queenslanders get back on their feet. The proceeds of this fundraiser help Queenslanders who need it.

 

Wesley Mission Brisbane is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people here in this State  

- sometimes it doesn’t take that much.

 

$5* can buy an emergency rail pass for a Queenslander travelling to a job interview.

$10 can provide one month’s stationery for a Queensland school child from a disadvantaged home.

$30 can provide a child from a disadvantaged home with a pair of school shoes.

$50 can provide a Queenslander with one month’s worth of emergency medicine.

$100 can help take 10 Senior Queenslanders on a special outing to the movies.

$500 can provide clothes, meals and accommodation for one Queensland child for a month.

All you have to do is wear purple on your feet (or anywhere else you like – we won’t tell) and make a donation to do so. Every foot counts - and every dollar counts.

 

The donations will go directly to those who need it, from babies and youths, to parents, grandparents and even great grandparents.  By supporting Footloose Friday™ you will be supporting aged care, child care, giving someone a hand up, something to eat, someone to help them or somewhere to live.

 

As a not-for-profit organisation, Wesley Mission Brisbane relies heavily on the goodwill of others.
