MS is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system and affects over 18,000 Australians. More common in women than in men, the average age of diagnosis is 30 years.
There is no typical pattern to MS but could present itself through loss of coordination, numbness, bladder and bowl weakness, short term memory loss, heat intolerance, fatigue, impaired vision, and in sever cases partial or complete paralysis. MS is unpredictable can be mild, or sever, and can affect each person differently.
