The Shepherd Centre - Giving deaf children a voice

Build a Hero Page

The Shepherd Centre, is a not-for-profit organisation which was inaugurated in 1970 to teach hearing impaired children to talk. The organisation has five centres across NSW and ACT and is currently providing services to over 200 hearing impaired children and their families.

The Shepherd Centre’s unique and pioneering approach to family centred therapy has assisted thousands of hearing impaired children to learn to talk and enter mainstream schooling. The educational and social outcomes for children have been and continue to be phenomenal.

For an organisation which provides services free of charge and only receives approximately 28% of government funding, the results have been exceptional. Assist The Shepherd Centre to provide exceptional services to children with hearing impairments into the future.
