

About Mt Everest
Mount Everest is located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas and is the world's highest mountain at 8,848 metres above sea level. Mount Everest is considered by seasoned climbers to be the most difficult and dangerous climb of all. In fact, one in every 15 climbers don't make it home.
In this way, Mount Everest presents the ultimate challenge and those hoping to attempt it require highly technical skills, high altitude body training, psycological and physiological adjustments and a peak body condition. Some of the major issues climbers face when attempting this mountain are:

The trek will take the team 9 weeks in total to complete.
About the Seven Summits
The Seven Summits are the highest peaks on each continent and present the ultimate challenge for professional climbers! To date, just over 100 people have ever completed the Seven Summits that include:

- Mount Aconcagua (6,962m), Argentina
- Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m), Tanzania
- Mt Elbrus (5,642m), Russia
- Mount Vinson (4,897m), Antartica
- Mount Kosciuszko (2,228m), Australia
Amanda has climbed 4 of the Seven Summits and Annie has climbed 5. Once she has completed Mt Everest, she will take on her final climb to join the esteemed Seven Summits club.
