According to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals database, 31% of the Cambodian population lives below the national poverty line. Living in poverty means that families and children have little, if any, access to health care and medical treatment. The volunteer team that is heading out in September to ICC projects is hoping to change that for hundreds of people in Cambodia.
These volunteers will use their medical knowledge or other incredible skills to provide assistance to extremely poor villages which currently have no access to medical facilities. From previous experience, many of the people who visit the mobile medical clinics run by ICC volunteers are suffering from diseases related to malnutrition and lack of hygiene.
Through the help of these volunteers and your generosity to help them achieve their fundraising goal to support these projects, there will be such a difference made to the lives of these people.
