It's a rally, but what is different about this one is that we take shitty cars and see if we can drive them across Australia. On the 14th April 2012 we’re starting in Melbourne and heading north up through country Victoria, on to where Murray and Darling Rivers meet then continuing North and into remote central Australia where 10 metre sand dunes will meet us as part of the harsh but incredibly beautiful countryside. We will hit 3 states in as many days with a trip up part of the Strzelecki track that will deliver us into the welcoming arms of Innamincka and their famous pub. From here our 4th state awaits – Queensland, where after another day the countryside will start to get greener before we hit cane fields and the tropics of our destination – Cairns.

The route is designed to give us all a suitable challenge and to see as much as we can whilst covering serious distance over the course of the week.  Each year we will have 2-3 days of dirt road driving and for 2012 we will be spending this time on the Strzelecki Track and Innamincka National Park.  It really will be an great eye opening trip through central Australia.
