Thank you for participating in Six Foot Track Marathon and supporting the Rural Fire Service The race is a fundraiser for the Rural Fire Service & Six Foot Track Heritage Trust.  Not only do the RFS make it possible for you to do the race by providing 300 volunteers, but they provide a very important service as we all become unfortunately too aware of every summer. The RFS has partnered with Everyday Hero to provide an online fundraising webpage for each participant.

In just minutes you can build your own page and approach your supporters for a donation by emailing around the unique link of your webpage. Each donation is recorded on your page along with any message of support from your supporters.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) comprises over 2,100 volunteer rural fire brigades with a total membership of just over 70,000. In addition, salaried staff are employed to manage the day to day operations of the Service at Headquarters, regional offices and district fire control centres.

The Blue Mountains District is made up of 21 brigades and the NSW Rural Fire Service Blue Mountains District Group Support Committee was formed to assist with additional support to those brigades. All funds raised are used to assist the Blue Mountains brigades in maintaining the high standard of training, resourcing and community education required to continue protecting the community during times of bushfire and other emergency situations.
