Australia's first and only not for profit charity strictly focussing on the unique needs and challenges facing young adults 18-40 years living with cancer. The Foundation's mission is to pioneer the development of effective models of care for young adults with cancer, to provide resources and information relevant to the needs of young adults with cancer, to link patients, survivors and carers around Australia to form a support network either online or in person and to fund research into rare cancers that young adults face. Survival rates for young adults aged 15-39 years has only improved by 1% in 30 years whereas survival rates for children and adults has improved by an average of 30% in 30 years. As young adults we need to come together and make a difference and improve these disturbing survival rates.
