Bottlemart Smiling for Smiddy Challenge has now finished

The Bottlemart Smiling for Smiddy Challenge enters its fifth year in 2010, challenging 50 cyclists to a gruelling 1600 kilometre journey across Queensland from Brisbane to Townsville in only eight days.

The Challenge commemorates the life of physiotherapist, and keen triathlete, Adam Smiddy who passed away in August 2006 from an aggressive cancer at age 26.

The Mater Foundation is again the major beneficiary in 2010 where funds will support prostate cancer research, melanoma drug trials and complementary therapies for cancer patients. Funds are also distributed to key organisations such as the PA Foundation and Melanoma Patients Australia.
