Guinness World Record Break 2010 has now finished 10 Apr 2010 The Warwick Foundation will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for 'The Most People Running in High Heeled Shoes' on Saturday 10th April 2010. Come join us at the home of the Western Bulldogs - Whitten Oval, 417 Barkly St, Footscray and help us smash the record by running only 80 metres! Our lovely Ambassadors TOM GLEESON, MATTHEW RICHARDSON, RHYS UHLICH, NATALIE HUNTER, SCOTT MCGREGOR and the Bulldogs Captain himself BRAD JOHNSON will all be there as well as our fabulous MC BRODIE YOUNG. More celebs are going to be announced in the lead up. You need to arrive between 10.00am - 10.30am to pick up your bib from the registration desk and have your high heels measured. You MUST wear high heels that are at least 2.75 inches in height and no wider than 0.6 inches at the tip. Platforms are not permitted. You cannot race if you do not meet these requirements. Your registration fee and the money you raise for us through sponsorship go towards our 'Mates In My Shoes' program. All participants will receive a gift bag containing fabulous goodies from Revlon, Roses Only & Magnolia Silver Jewellery worth over $50! There are exciting major prizes for the top three participants who raise the most money through sponsorship! These are: 1st Prize - $1,000 Qantas travel voucher courtesy of Flight Centre Total value: $1,369.50 2nd Prize - 2 night midweek stay at a luxury villa with late checkout, welcome drinks and Kudos Range Giftpack courtesy of Kudos Villas Total value: $1,049.50 3rd Prize - A pair of custom made high heels courtesy of princesschic.com.au Total value: $599.00 THE TOP THREE FUNDRAISERS WILL ALSO GET ACCESS TO THE VIP MARQUEE WHERE THEY CAN HANG OUT WITH THE CELEB GUESTS! Spot prizes will also be given out on the day for the best outfits. Your family, friends and supporters are all encouraged to come and cheer you on from the grandstand so bring them along as your personal fan club! If you can't run then support us by cheering on the participants from the grandstands on the day or sponsor one of our fundraisers through the Everyday Hero website. Families are invited to come down and there is also a bouncing castle for the kids! Food and drink will be available throughout the event and the Western Bulldogs merchandise shop will be open from 10am. Now strap on those shoes, dress up and come have some fun with us! Men are encouraged to join in too! How to get there:Train: Whitten Oval is a short stroll from West Footscray station - on the Sydneham/Watergardens line. There is ample parking available in the Whitten Oval car park and surrounding streets. *Please note that this event is for over 18's only. No minors will be allowed to participate in the race. The length of the race is 80 metres and you must be fit and healthy enough to run this far in heels. Pregnant women and those with existing conditions are advised not to enter.
