Walk 4 Breast Cancer - Sunshine Coast has now finished

31 Mar 2010

The Annual Walk 4 Breast Cancer was started in 2005. Cassandra Munson, the founder and organiser of Walk 4 Breast Cancer, got together 12 of her colleagues and family and set off walking the pathways from Coolum to Noosa.

Over the past six years the walk has grown to more than 600 eager, bra wearing, fundraising stars raising more than $150,000 for the fight against breast cancer.

In 2010 the Walk 4 Breast Cancer will be held on the Sunshine Coast on 26th June.

“W4BC” is predominantly to raise awareness and funds by walking either 10km or 20km between Coolum and Noosa (up to approx 4 hrs) along the walkways, wearing colourful, decorated bra’s.

The Full walk will start at Tickle Park, Coolum Beach with registration at 7:30am and the Half walk registration at Castaways Beach at 9:30am. There are regular pit stops with water and refreshments supplied along the way and the walk finishes at the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club with a live band and a presentation. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the Surf Club.
