Winter Sleepout 2010 has now finished

02 Aug 2010 - 08 Aug 2010

Australians have been supporting the Mission Australia's Winter Sleepout for over 20 years. In fact, ever since our very first Winter Sleepout back in 1988, thousands of people across the nation have shown their support of homeless Australians by giving up their own warm beds in the height of winter to raise funds for our homeless services.

Take up the challenge!
The Winter Sleepout has proven to be an easy and interactive way to raise awareness of the plight of homeless Australians and help to raise much needed funds to support homeless services.

All that is required is for you to get a group of your friends, family, colleagues or social group together and sleep-out in your school, auditorium, church, stadium, office, or back yard for one night during winter, and seek sponsorship from family and friends.

While holding your event, we encourage you to communicate your thoughts and experiences - whether it be through Facebook or Twitter, blogs, photos or videos - share them with Mission Australia and your networks and help to raise awareness of the issues facing homeless Australians.

There are 105,000* homeless Australians who need your support this winter, so contact wintersleepout@missionaustralia.com.au to order your Winter Sleepout toolkit and start organising your very own Winter Sleepout today.
