Buddy Walk 2007 NSW has now finished

Celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Week (14th – 21st October) at Buddy Walk 2007! After the success of our very first 'Walk with a Mate' last year, please join us again in 2007. In our brightly coloured caps and shirts, we will be raising awareness with a positive message about people with Down syndrome in the community, and raising useful funds too. We will also be having fun meeting up with old friends and making new ones! Buddy Walk Sydney There is no better time to be out and about in Sydney than Spring time, and no better place to be than by the Harbour, with the vibrant Jacarandas blooming, the yachts darting, and the water glistening (usually) in that beautiful spring sunshine. And this year you can have all that, great company, and a great cause too on Sunday October 21st , by joining us for a leisurely walk from North Sydney, across the Harbour Bridge, along Circular Quay, past the Opera House to Mrs Macquarie's Chair in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Buddy Walk in the ‘Gong Help us kick off Down Syndrome Awareness Day by joining in the Inaugural Buddy Walk in Wollongong. Take a leasurely stroll around beautiful Stuart Park and then join in a casual picnic, sausage sizzle, face painting and other fun activities. Buddy Walk up your way. If you can’t make it to Sydney or Wollongong this year feel free to get together with friends and family in celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness Week and have your own walk through a park or beauty spot near your place. Let us know and we’ll highlight your Walk on the website and you can set up your own hero page too!
