The Sydney Hobart Ocean Challenge has now finished

One of the best and most media-covered yacht race in the world, the 64th Rolex Sydney-Hobart race on 26 December 2008 offers you an association with an event which captures the imagination and admiration of millions around the globe. The 628 nautical mile race has been an incredible challenge to hundreds of skippers, navigators and crew each year. This is nothing compared to the challenges our patients face every day with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders. As we sail for our patients and their families, we will be watched by thousands of people, on water and land, as we exit from Sydney Harbour through the Heads on Boxing Day. Winners, competitors, community leaders, members of the press and representatives from many prestigious yacht clubs will be with us all the way up to the official prize giving ceremony at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania 1 January 2009.
