Clown Doctors parody the hospital routine and by using oversized medical equipment they perform 'Red Nose' transplants, 'Funny Bone' checks and 'Cat' scans. Clown Doctors lighten the serious side of hospital for a child, they help them enter a world of fantasy and play to forget their illness for a while. 'Clown Rounds' are conducted through all childnre's wards including oncology, burns unit, intensive care, neonatal, emergency and even throughout all corridors. Clown Doctors divert children during painful procedures, help calm a distressed child in emergency and encourage them in physiotherapy. The whole hospital community benefits...patients, families and staff. |
