HUSH for Homelessness 2009 has now finished

15 May 2009

Almost 105,000 Australians have no place to call home. Of these people, around 50% are yet to have their 25th birthday and 10,000 are children aged under 12! This is why Mission Australia is running HUSH for Homelessness; an event to raise money to assist homeless men, women and children across the country.

HUSH for Homelessness symbolises the 'invisible' and 'voiceless' lives that homeless Australians lead. Mission Australia challenges you to experience what it’s like to be voiceless, by not speaking for an hour (or more!) on Friday 15th May 2009; and to seek sponsorship for your silence.

All donations will go directly to Mission Australia homeless services, providing crisis and transitional accommodation and support services to homeless people across the country.

There are three ways you can support HUSH for Homelessness:

1. Register now and create your own fundraising page. Registration is free and will only take a few minutes

2. Sponsor a friend who has taken up the challenge to HUSH for Homelessness

3. Zip Up Your Boss or Nominate someone who you think should take part in the event. So why wait any longer?

Register today and help Mission Australia transform the lives of homeless Australians.
