Why we need your help

The truth is, arthritis can affect anybody at any age... and it hurts!

1 in 5 Australians have some form of arthritis. It is a life changing chronic disease. Its impact can be emotional, financial, psychological and most significantly, physical.

Arthritis is a topic that many Australians don’t like to talk about and something that many Australians do not fully understand, which is why the work of Arthritis NSW is so important.

There are over 1.3 million people in New South Wales with some form of arthritis and many don’t like to admit they have it.

Arthritis NSW receives very little government funding and in 2011, this was no exception with only $38,000 received from the government. We rely on the generosity and support of individuals to help us continue to provide services and to be the voice of arthritis in the NSW community.
