The Daw House Hospice Foundation raises funds to support Southern Adelaide Palliative Services. This includes Daw House Hospice, which actively cares for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Southern Adelaide Palliative Services provide end of life care for some 1300 patients and their families across southern Adelaide each year. It serves a population of some 350,000 South Australians. 85% of the people seen by the service have cancer as their primary life-limiting illness. Other patients have illnesses such as end-stage organ failure (liver failure, heart failure, respiratory failure,), neurodegenerative diseases such as motor neurone disease or AIDS.
