The Great Ocean Walk

Epworth Medical Foundation invites you to join us on a three-day trek through the stunning natural beauty of the Great Ocean Road, while raising funds to support cancer patients.

Use our fundraising guidelines and helpful tools to raise $2500 to support cancer-care services, equipment and research at Epworth. Then join us on this inspiring trek along Victoria’s coastline. Includes all meals, cabin accommodation, a support vehicle and guides.

Day 1: Blanket Bay to Cape Otway

Meander along cliff tops and through coastal forests to the quiet haven of Parker Inlet. Wildlife sightings are common, and a guide will explain the human and natural history of the area. Walk along the foreshore to see shipwreck relics, then into open terrain to the Cape Otway Light Station, the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in Australia.

Day 2: Cape Otway to Johanna Beach

Today’s walk features spectacular coastline views. Start by walking through the pioneer cemetery and sand dunes, then descend to Station Beach. Follow the path
around the headlands and into the Aire River estuary then Castle Cove, where dinosaur fossils have been found. Continue through a cliff-top forest to emerge on
the beautiful Johanna Beach.

Day 3: Milanesia Beach to the Twelve Apostles

A wild and challenging day. The path cuts inland before returning to the coast and the isolated Milanesia Beach. Continue along the sea cliffs to Moonlight Head with breathtaking views. There is a walk-or-drive option at this point, then the final section of the trek starts at Princetown and continues to the viewing platform of the Twelve Apostles
