Lifestart Kayak for Kids 2010 has now finished

Kayak for Kids is Lifestart's major annual fundraising event. It provides a perfect opportunity for family, friends and work colleagues to enjoy a unique challenge on beautiful Sydney Harbour, participating as a three person team or as a relay team of up to twelve people in a provided three seat kayak. It also provides an opportunity for experienced paddlers who have their own one or two seat craft to participate in a unique time challenge as it hugs the northern shores from Blues Point to Clontarf.

From someone who has been there ....

2009 was the second year that my company - a diagnostic ultrasound practice - participated in the Lifestart Kayak For Kids fundraising event. This year, we had over 30 people including employees, Doctors, friends and family involved in paddling and support roles, and everyone had a fantastic time.

We cannot praise Lifestart highly enough. From setting up our donation website, managing registration, organising event day logistics and issuing post-event certificates, it was quality and helpfulness all the way. We were delighted to help raise funds for an important cause, foster greater teamwork and cooperation, and importantly get people out on our beautiful harbour.  

Competitive and recreational paddlers alike were tested, and everyone rose to the challenge! We will all be back - with many more new participants - in 2010.
