Keeping Cancer at Bay has now finished 13 Mar 2010 Keeping Cancer at Bay is a way for all sea lovers to help Challenge provide a little bit of sunshine to those who might not be able to make it out on the water this year. Our programs are designed to help our families circumnavigate their way through the most difficult time in their life; the fear and anxiety of fighting a life threatening illness. We do this by providing a coordinated mix of daily support and quality life experiences, both in and out of the hospital, ranging from practical bedside assistance with games, internet, laptops, gaming consoles and more, home assistance like house cleaning and garden maintenance, right through to quality life experiences including camps, family activities, holiday accommodation, celebrity visits and an extensive ticketing program. On March 13th we are calling for 200 boats to take to the water and fly a flag in support of the 200 children diagnosed each year in Victoria. After enjoying the bay you can join us to celebrate with live entertainment, free sausage and first drink free at the Sandringham Yacht Club, 4.30pm. A $25 donation applies for entry. Every dollar you donate to Keeping Cancer at Bay will go directly to supporting these children and their families and ensure that they have the best possible passage to their destination.
