hello everyone..........what a memorable journey this has been! Unfortunately India trip was cancelled by World Expeditions due to small group and 3 out of 5 did not meet the target to qualify. All participants should be appluaded for their efforts in any case.
So, I am now off to Vietnam and Cambodia and very excited. I have not travelled this region and it is a wonderful introduction to this area. having told my Indian friends that i am coming to India twice now and not made it, I am paying my own way for a side trip of 7 days from 14th April to 22nd April, post the challenge, to spend time with my lovely friends. 3 countries in 3 weeks and then 3 more weeks off when i return! I do deserve this as i have worked very hard. Currently I have a swimming pool raffle running with Narellan Pools to continue raising money for SIDS and Kids Victoria. This has been a wonderful and very fortunate partnership, so we have 3000 tickets to sell between now and November 12 and one lucky person will have an 8 metre swimmming pool installed ready for Christmas! This raffle is subject to areas with specified postcodes due to a franchised area. Anyone can buy a ticket for $5.00 however the WINNING TICKET/POOL must be installed within the specified regions. We are well on our way to achieving our goal with tickets being sold already. Thanks to Chloe Havlicek, Robyn Baker and Karen Passey for making it happen!

It was a difficult decision not to participate on the current India challenge HOWEVER I AM DEFINITELY ON THE APRIL 2012! Really looking forward to that adventure.......................
Here and now, i am well over my target which is a wonderful feeling. i will continue to help/support Jacki my colleague, to reach hers so looking forward to events she will be arranging. We have done an incredible job to get where we are now..
We were part of a very successful and fun auction/trivia night at Tolmie in september. Thanks to that amazing little community which is so positive and giving. Once again, thanks to the Benalla and Wangaratta business houses for their generousity in donating items for the auctions and raffles.
I have an exciting opportunity which we are nurturing along - still in the planning process however when it happens I will announce it here on this blog! very exciting for SIDS and Kids Victoria, a successful family business and myself! I must acknowledge Chloe for her part in connecting it all - fabulous girl!
The Benalla Ensign - Angels- and Benalla Performing Arts Centre- Andrew, Lois and Candy - have been very supportive to the cause which has helped keep the challenge in the news and monies rolling in to SIDS and Kids Victoria.
I had a very wonderful small group who wish to remain anonymous donate over 1.000 dollars to the challenge and ultimately SIDS. This was an answer to a prayer and really felt like a miracle so I was over-joyed.
I will continue to raise monies and spread the SIDS awareness. I have been asked to speak at a meeting re the India part of the challenge so i have that happening in late October. They also want me to talk on my return from India in April.
Once more, thank you all for your interest, support and good wishes. it has been a MEMORABLE time! Look out for raffles and know you are supporting a worthwhile cause...............

Beauty Tuesday was a great success - many thanks to all concerned but especially to those wax queens -Marianna and Monique who worked tirelessly for our benefit and Sids and Kids ultimately! SUCH AN OVERWHELMING GESTURE OF GIVING _THANKS SO MUCH M AND M!
Coming up tomorrow night in Mansfield is the cinema laugh a minute premiere of BRIDESMAIDS. WINE AND SNACKS pre movie for 25.00 per person - suitable for both males and females and a guaranteed laugh! See you there albeit briefly as I have night duty to attend!
FAST APPROACHING IS THE AUCTION AT BENALLA BOWLS CLUB ON FRIDAY JULY 29th from 6PM - delicious dinner and then some bush poetry with Colin Milligan followed by Auction donated items/vouchers/services from local businesses in Wangaratta/Bnalla/Mansfield/Tatong so get yourself along for a good night of activity and support a worth cause!
8 weeks until we are peddling our way through villages in India HOWEVER we still have a challenge to acquire funds to complete our quest of $6,500.00 - GETTING CLOSER but must rally on.
ALL SUPPORT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED and ANY HELP ALONG THE WAY IS WELCOMED! If any one of you want to hold an event and donate the funds to us, we would be most appreciative!
WE hope to have some open gardens/perhaps a COMEDY night and maybe even a curry night!!

I have just got over the half way mark - THANK YOU to each and everyone of you!
Momentum is building for the SUPER AUCTION AT THE BENALLA BOWLS CLUB ON FRIDAY 29th JULY and we have a wonderful array of donated goods/services/vouchers/giveaways already -MORE TO COME!
WIGGLES film party at Mansfield Arm Chair Cinema was a success and with the help of KAZ AND MONTY AND TIM AND TEAM everyone had a great time. Thanks to MITRE 10 BENALLA for major raffle prize and to POWELL FAMILY for the KIDS raffle pack.
The next film night is MONDAY 19th JULY with BRIDESMAIDS at the MANSFIELD ARMCHAIR CINEMA - a laugh a minute film - so much so that people have returned the next night and laughed even more!
Dress in your wedding/bridesmaid gear - if you can or you dare!! - PRIZES AWARDED, a complimentary glass of Wine on arrival, snacks included, ARRIVE at 7.30 pm for the fun with the Movie to commence at 8.30pm - $25.00 per ticket.
This is an advance screening for Mansfield and a good, fun night out whilst supporting our MEMORABLE CHALLENGE for SIDS and Kids Victoria. YOU DESERVE SOME LAUGHS so get a GROUP TOGETHER and make a night of it!

Fundraising commenced in March 2011 with the Riverview Classic Holden Week which so far has topped the fundraising total for events held thus far.
Sausage sizzle in April at Bunnings Wangaratta was a great day - thanks to Coles and Safeway for their support along with Bunnings.
Swanpool cinema film night and raffle in May - thanks to thel group that attended and well done for the $500,00 we made!(Thanks to Regie and Family for cash donations)Congrats to Rose on the winning ticket in the raffle.Thanks to Shirley and Kevin at the cinema.
May Tolmie Tavern Ladies Lunch raised $182.00 which was AWESOME and the support of the Tolmieites is ongoing and incredible - thanks so much!
NEO Classical Ensemble in May, at Benalla Art Gallery was a superb event and raised $128.00 with the raffle and we were kindly donated $300.00 by the NEO Musicians - Tres magnific!
A WALK THROUGH TIME held 4/5 June at RIVERVIEW in TATONG was a runaway success with escorted tours through the homestead and raised an incredible $800.00!!! Thanks to Kooyonga Chapel for the complimentary wines and Melissa at Blooms on Bridge for the superb floral pieces. And to Lalibella and Fusion for the ticket sales.
A Mansfield Bush market sausage sizzle and raffle in June was another good fundraiser.

Cinema day at Mansfield with the Wiggles movie on 19th june,
Beauty Tuesday on 5th July in Wangaratta at Mariana;s Beauty Studio, Larkings Street, 1 - 9,
Dinner, Entertainment - poet Colin Milligan - and Auction - with auctioneer Darren Askew - at Benalla Bowls Club Friday 29th July from 6pm.
Under planning - a luncheon in the Strathbogie Ranges with an interesting guest speaker and an open garden/homestead on the Broken River
amongst others!
Any support is greatly appreciated on this journey of the Memorable Challenge. The second phase of the Challenge is the volunteer trip to India and commences on 24th September for 13 days. We have much fundraising to do from now until then............thank you for your on-going support and encouragement!
