Spencer and I leave tomorrow for our 2 day drive down to Victoria for the Terra Australis MTB Epic. It has been months in the planning and we've been training up to attempt to survive and be able to call ourselves "finishers". We are both feeling good and positive about our chances.
The next 10 days promises to be the experience of a lifetime for us both and something we will never forget. A big thanks to all who have donated to the cause and though I am well under my target it just means I will have to come back and do some other crazy adventure to try and raise much needed cash for working Wonders.
A big thanks must go out to Giant Bikes Australia and Cyc'd for Bikes for all the technical support. Also to MTB Dirt for the help in getting the word out there and for the push along in training when I didn't feel like going!
Anyway, tally ho and all that!

In 4 weeks exactly Spencer and I will leave to drive down to Falls Creek in Victoria for the Terra Australis. We've been training hard and preparing for what promises to be the event of a lifetime for us. So we'll drive for 1600 odd K's, race for 7 days through some of Australias most unique landscapes and at the end drive home again. It's a big trip!
I'd like to thank Giant Bicycles Australia for providing Spencer and I a means of transporting ourselves and our bikes to the event as well as providing 2 spanking new bikes for us to compete on. A big thanks must also go to the Treasury Casino and Hotel for the very kind donation of an accomodation package worth $750 which will be auctioned off at an event to benefit "Working Wonders".
Sunday will also see me have my legs waxed for charity! If you know my legs then you will understand what a massive job it will be. The event was prompted by my friends in the mountain bike community offering to raise money if I agreed to go through with it. I set a high goal of $1000 and they made it. Easily. Stay tuned for pictures of the fun.
Anyway, back to the training!

It's official, I'm doing the Terra.

Yep, I'm nuts. Here we go again with a 7 day, 550km suufer fest to raise money for Working Wonders. At the end of March I will travel to Victoria with my riding buddy Spencer and we will ride from Falls Creek to Wangaratta in a circuitous route taking in Bright, Beechmont and Dinner Plain. Yippee!
Check out the blog and donate some cash to make sure I don't wimp out.

The race is this Saturday and it looks like it could be a tough day. The recent rain means the track will be wet and muddy making going even harder. How about showing your support and really ensuring that I have the motivation at 3 in the morning to punch out another lap!
Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. Don't forget to visit the blog to see training and race updates as well as some history behind why I am doing this mad adventure. http://grahamsvariedadventures.blogspot.com/
Cheers!

Thanks for Supporting such a Great Cause!

OK funsters, get in and donate some cash to watch me go round and round a track for 24 hours. It should be worth a few bucks to get me out of your hair for a whole day!
