Help make a difference to people living with Alzheimer's...

It's a lucky one among us who hasn't been touched by Alzheimer's.
My Nanna died a few years ago after a battle with dementia.
When I left for London in 2000, she was a social butterfly with something to do or organise or raise money for every day.
By the time I returned in late 2004 she didn't recognise me or my dad; let alone cook us salmon rissoles and toasted cheese sandwiches like only she could!
Alzheimer's is a terrible disease and one that takes loved ones away from families. It's a disease that causes stress, frustration and unhappiness not only for the person suffering, but for everyone around.
With Australia's ageing population increasing, we'll be having more and more people succumbing to Alzheimer's.
We really need to raise as much money as possible to help those suffering and for science to come up with a cure.
The money raised on this page will go towards making "memory books" for people in the NT suffering from Alzheimers. These "memory books" are filled with treasures and photos from the Alzheimer's patient's life... to help them remember those precious things and stay with their life just a little longer.
ps. OH! And PS! You're not sponsoring someone who doesn't have to work at this. At the moment, I can only run 6kms. I'm still a bit overweight AND I'll be training through the Darwin build up and Wet Season. Yucko. Your money is hard earned and I'll be working hard to cross that finish line!
