The Tumour Bank Task Force is aiming to raise $2,000 to go towards ground breaking research, training and maintenance at the Queensland Children’s Tumour Bank.
19% of deaths in children aged 1-14 result from cancer, the second leading cause of death in this age group behind accidents. The Queensland Children’s Tumour Bank is a research facility where an extensive array of tissue samples from patient tumours can be stored. Each sample has information regarding the best treatments for better patient care and can be used for future research.
This facility is helping with faster diagnoses and better treatment for young cancer sufferers and hopefully, one day, a cure.
You can help work wonders for sick kids too by donating to the Tumour Bank Task Force.
