My name is Scott Jeffery I am a 32 year old Australian bicycle adventurer and digital media professional. After working 3 years in the digital media team for Channel 5 in London – the home of Australian Soaps in the UK – I’m going to cycle overland back home to my birthplace, right near the filming location for the the Australian soap opera Home and Away, from my father’s birthplace back to my birthplace aided, as much as possible, by digital technology and raising funds for The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia

PCFA is the peak national body for prostate cancer in Australia. We are dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners, families and the wider community.

We do this by:

• Promoting and funding world leading, innovative, cutting edge research into prostate cancer
• Implementing awareness campaigns and education programs for the Australian Community, health professionals and Government
• Supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer through evidence-based information and resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses



Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men and the second most common cause of male cancer deaths. Sadly, this year almost 20,000 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and 3,300 men will die of the disease. What is not commonly understood is that men can be diagnosed with prostate cancer as early as in their forties.
