Well the big day came, and saw all of the Narre Warren team achieve a variety of personal goals and results.

Firstly a big THANK YOU to Cardinia Transport and our driver. Darrell, who took us in to the city and delivered us to the event. And even better, he picked us up at the end and took us home again! We really appreciated the support we got from Cardinia, and it certainly made our trip in to the city a lot easier.

Congratulations to all of the runners and walkers who made it around the track on what turned out to be a fairly warm day, adding to the challenge of making the distance.

But the biggest effort was made by the Captain Koala team of Josh, Michael and Damien who slogged around the whole 14 kilometre course and still had enough energy to sprint across the line at the end. A really great effort guys and well done!

Our fund raising is still going and thanks to everyone who has, and still are contributing. It isn’t too late to add to the total, (and to date Shags is still donating the odd few cents to the cause) so feel free to keep the total rising. To date we have just passed the $5000 mark which is fantastic.

So now we are looking towards the 2011 event (honestly, we are!!) and if you have been following our adventures, hopefully this will inspire you to join us next year. You don’t have to do the full 14 kilometres, the 5k walk will do for starters, but it is a great event, and we have all had a ball taking part.
