Operation Bad Altitude: Team Kili 2011 01 Sep 09 20:46 PM Posted by Scott SchmidTeam wut?
Team Kili.
Team Kili is:
Ben - Zebra Rider
Troy - Elephantologist
Heidi - Squirrel Wrangler
Belinda - Giraffe Communications
Scotty - Meercat Confusion Expert
Marc - Attitude Sickness Consultant
Cherub - Colour co-ordination Specialist
Fletch - Unfortunate Situation Response Coordinator
They are the challenge team for Mission Kilimanjaro, a fundraising event held by the Positive Action League of Australia.
While you are comfortable knowing you donated toward the future and education of Aboriginal children in Australia thanks to the people at Aboriginal Children's Advancement Society, Team Kili will be sucking eggs, crouched and shivering, 19,000 feet up a mountain in Tanzania wondering why the hell they skimped on the hiking boots they bought for cheap from a discount warehouse. That's what makes it so awesome, they will suffer so you can help a bunch of mega cute kids who deserve a better shot at life.
The fact Team Kili will be well supervised and in the company of expert guides makes the suffering nothing to worry about, but pretty funny. So give as much as you can! It's for an awesome cause and every kid in Australia deserves the same future.
Target: $19,331, one dollar per foot of mountain.
