As part of Australia’s Biggest Playdate, you are invited to host your own event to raise funds for the Monash Children’s Hospital.

A playdate can take many forms – from a social gathering with friends at home, to a catch up in the park, a walk with a pram, a game, a party, a trip to the movies and more. Playdates are interactive, social and bring a smile to children’s faces.

The fun isn’t just for the kids, either! A playdate is also an opportunity for parents to be social and interact with other adults in their community. Bring out your inner child and get involved in the supportive, community-minded spirit that is at the heart of the Monash Children’s Hospital philosophy. Australia’s Biggest Playdate launches on 26 October, but Playdates can be organised any day, anytime, anywhere!

You might want to convene a hula-hooping competition with your colleagues, plan a teddybear’s picnic or take your group on a rock climbing adventure.

Monash Children's Hospital

Monash Children's Hospital is a partner in the Victorian Paediatric Clinical Network and co-delivers Victoria's most important care in oncology, child protection, rehabilitation, neonatal intensive care, paediatric intensive care, orthopaedic and palliative care. Monash Children's Hospital is part of Monash Health, Victoria's largest healthcare service.

Building on our 120 year history from the Queen Victoria Hospital, the Monash Children's Hospital service is one of the busiest in Australia. We already deliver that state high level and complex care and thanks to the Victorian Government's investment, soon we will do this in a hospital built especially to care for sick children and their families.

Located in the south east of Melbourne, Monash Children's Hospital is one of the fastest growing paediatric corridors in the country. The new Monash Children's Hospital will be located immediately adjacent to the Monash Medical Centre in Clayton and allow us to treat more children, more efficiently than ever before.

Construction of the 230 bed, 5 storey hospital commenced in July 2014 and we look forward to opening the new hospital in early 2017. This new world class facility will be home to our already world leading paediatric health care. A place where we combine ground breaking research, with the latest medical technology to provide loving care to sick children and their families. A place of true excellence in every sense.
