In 2009, my wife Kate and I joyfully discovered we were going to have a baby. We celebrated and were thrilled to finally be becoming parents.

Sadly, on January 13, 2010 our daughter Ellen arrived at full term, but stillborn. We were devastated to say the least. Our plans to be parents had stopped and it felt like our world had halted.

Fortunately for us the organisation that is now Red Nose provided counselling and support to help us as we navigated this strange new world of being parents without a child. The counselling services provided to us were lifesaving.

For this reason, I have decided to do some fundraising in support of Red Nose so other parents in this situation can also get their wonderful support.

On Friday 8th March 2019, I plan to ride from the ACT to Queensland on my pushbike, cycling through country NSW. I hope to receive sponsorship from friends and companies to do so.
