We are creating healthy bodies and healthy minds, one step at a time!

Schools Triathlon Challenge is set to help raise funds for Diabetes Tasmania's Type One Youth Support Program.

Did you know? Type 1 diabetes affects 5 times as many Tasmanian children as cancer. The cause of type 1 diabetes remains a mystery, with no known cure. You cannot prevent type 1 diabetes and once diagnosed you will live with it 24/7 for the rest of your life - requiring daily insulin.

Setting up your own fundraising page is simple and in doing so you will be doing a great community service by helping raise funds that will go directly towards helping improve somebody else’s quality of life – all funds raised will stay within Tasmania.

Please consider taking fundraising on as a part of your Schools Triathlon Challenge experience this year and hopefully we can build this into a significant fundraiser over the next few years.

It’s very simple once your page is set up you can send out your own personalised link to all your contacts / parents contacts, social media or email and get people to donate towards your fundraising effort. In return you can tell them that you will be putting in your very best performance at this year’s Schools Triathlon Challenge.

Don’t forget that 20% of all money raised by YOUR school will come back to the school to use as they wish!

This year there will also be on offer some wonderful prizes on offer for you!

OUR TOTAL GOALS this year, with your help are:

$3,270.00 will help us send two participants to diabetes camp

$6,000.00 will help send four families to diabetes camp

$9,870.00 will help us send six participants to diabetes camp

By helping us raise these totals you can go into the draw for these fantastic prizes, depending on the amount you raise:

If you raise over $25.00 you will go into the draw for 1 of 20 junior tickets to a BBL|09 Hobart Hurricanes match.

If you raise over $50.00 you will go into the draw for 1 of 5 pairs of running shoes from The Running Edge.

If you raise over $150.00 you will go into the draw for a family trip on one of the Pennicott Boat Cruises.
