Do you want to make a difference in your own unique way?  The great thing about fundraising is that the only limit is your imagination! You can make your fundraiser as big or small as you want! Whether it is hosting a morning tea, going cold turkey, or something a bit more nail-biting like jumping out of an aeroplane, you can turn anything into a way to raise funds and awareness of Sands!

If you’ve got a great idea about a fundraising event, click “Start Fundraising”. It only takes a few minutes to set up your page. Then you’ll be ready to share your page with friends, family and colleagues and invite them to make a donation. Make sure you keep them posted on your special event with photos and other updates.

Some ideas to get you going;

Host a morning tea at your workplace- Send out an email to all staff telling them about the morning tea along with a link to the page, encourage them to come and taste your treats and donate!

Jump out of a plane - Many of our fundraisers, who are also bereaved parents, have skydived to raise funds for Sands. These parents tell us that jumping out a plane made them feel closer to their baby.

Go cold turkey - Get healthy while fundraising! Cut out alcohol, cigarettes or sugar, and get your friends and family to support you by donating.

Run a sports tournament - Get your local sporting club to hold a round-robin event.  Not only is it a fun day for all involved, you can raise money through entry fees, raffles and silent auctions.

SANDS - Miscarriage Stillbirth Newborn Death Support

An estimated one in four pregnancies (103,688) ends in miscarriage in Australia each year, while approximately 2,425 babies are either stillborn or die shortly after birth.

Sands is a not-for-profit organisation that provides emotional support, information and hope to families following the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

Our community of trained Volunteer Parent Supporters offer a real sense of understanding. They know the heartbreak and devastation that follows the death of a baby as they too have experienced it. Sands also offers resources and education for healthcare professionals.

By supporting Sands you are helping to ensure that we can continue to provide support for bereaved parents across Australia, 24/7, 365 days a week.
