Unite in pink and support a cancer-free future

Your event, your way. When Australians wear pink, it’s a sign we’re united to support the women in our lives and help reduce the impact of breast and gynaecological cancers.

Going pink for Cancer Council Victoria gives you the choice to fundraise in any way that you like. Are you a master baker? A secret party planner? Whatever your skill or talent, you can use it to help bring us closer to a cancer-free future.

The opportunities are endless

Your pink event can be as big or small as you like, and as simple and as creative as you want it to be. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.

  1. Pink Morning Tea
Get your colleagues, friends, family together for a pink morning tea, you could even have a bake-off.

  2. Wear pink to work
There’s always an opportunity to add a splash of colour to the workplace. Set a date and ask everyone to wear pink to work in exchange for a donation.

  3. Pink luncheon or barbeque
Get all your family and friends together, you could have a barbeque in your backyard or pink themed food.

  4. Host a ball
Who doesn’t love getting dressed up for a good cause?  While balls and galas require a bit of planning, they are a great way to raise funds as you’ll not only get money from ticket sales, but also by auctioning off items to guests. You could even ’pink it up’ by asking your guests to wear a splash of the colour on the night.

  5. Anything you like!
The options for a pink event are as endless as your imagination. You could hold a raffle, dye your hair pink, host a talent show, sell pink baked goods – the choice is yours.

You can make a difference

Every year, over 5,700 Victorian women are diagnosed with a breast or gynaecological cancer. Their lives will change in an instant, as will those of the people around them.

At Cancer Council Victoria, we’re determined to change this – but we need your help.

By hosting a pink event, you’ll be making a difference in the fight against women’s cancer, one dollar at a time. Why? Because you’ll be funding ground-breaking research, which is crucial if we want to find better ways to prevent and treat cancer, and of course, save lives.

So go pink for a very worthy cause. Together, we can raise awareness and work towards a day where breast and gynaecological cancers are no more.
