Cancer Council NSW is again proud to present Stars Of Dubbo Dance For Cancer!

Stars Of Dubbo is a gala fundraising event for Cancer Council NSW. This fun, fresh and exciting event for the local Dubbo community is where Community-minded locals with little to no dance experience are teamed up with a professional dancer or troupe from a local dance school to learn and perform a routine at a gala event.

The event will take place on Saturday 11th of May 2019 at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) where the stars hard work will culminate in an opportunity to show what they have come up with to entertain a crowd. There will be awards for the Highest Score (based on our judges scores), Highest Fundraiser (money raised by our stars in the lead up to the event), People’s Choice Award (voted by the audience with their wallets on the night, most donations equates to most points) and Star’s Star (for decided by voting among our Stars).

With our full support, our wonderful stars commit to raising vital funds for Cancer Council NSW as we work towards raising vital funds to help Cancer Council with their life affirming work and ground-breaking research.

Cancer Council NSW is an independent charity and 95% community funded. With a unique combination of local program delivery, community engagement and national influence enables everyone who cares about cancer to make an impact against this horrid disease.

Cancer Council believe that together, we can and will beat cancer!

Cancer Council NSW

Cancer Council believes in a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 48,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed, and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant.

Together with our volunteers, supporters, stakeholders and staff, we are committed to reducing the impact of cancer on individuals and the community, and to lessening the burden for people affected by cancer.

We are the only organisation in Australia that works across every area of every cancer:

* conducting and funding world-class research that underpins our work across the cancer journey
* preventing cancer
* supporting people as they navigate the cancer journey
* advocating to ensure that governments take action on cancer.

We are there not only for those touched by cancer today, but to prevent and manage cancer for future generations.
