Butterfly Foundation's TURN HOPELESS INTO HOPE Christmas campaign is about the community coming together at what can be a difficult time of year to TURN IT AROUND for people experiencing eating disorders and their families.

Butterfly has had children as young as 7 needing support for an eating disorder. Over the holiday season, people tell us they feel 'cloudy', 'hopeless' and unable to see the 'light'. We know the holiday period can be a particularly difficult time for individuals and families due to more social gatherings, focus is on food, advertising about diets is rife, everyone expects you to be happy, it feels like everyone is 'watching' you. By working together, we can turn this around!

Throughout the holiday period we will be encouraging people to engage in help seeking and contribute to some of our newest initiatives by donating to Butterfly.

How Can I Help Turn Hopeless Into Hope this Christmas?

Get involved and be a HOPE HERO by setting up a fundraising page here. You can ask people to donate to you directly or start a team with friends and family to combine your efforts.

Set your own target and send an email to your contacts to encourage their support. When you reach out for support from your networks, it helps to build resilience, awareness and HOPE at such a difficult time for someone experiencing an eating disorder.

If you have any questions about setting up an Everyday Hero Supporter Page or Butterfly's TURN IT AROUND Christmas campaign, please contact our Fundraising Manager Elizabeth Herd on 03 9040 1591 or elizabeth.herd@thebutterflyfoundation.org.au.

Please never underestimate the importance of joining us in TURNING IT AROUND for those with an eating disorder and their families this Christmas. THANK YOU for your valued support.

Together we can Turn HOPELESS into HOPE!

Butterfly Foundation

The Butterfly Foundation is a national organisation that offers support for all people affected by an eating disorder and body image concerns. Along with our support services, such as the National ED HOPE Support Line, an Intensive Outpatient Program, an adolescent day program and regular support groups, we also run education programs across the country for young people, parents and professionals on building positive body image and self-esteem.

As well as being a leading national voice in supporting those impacted by eating disorders, Butterfly highlights the realities of seeking treatment for recovery, and advocates for improved services from both government and independent sources.

The foundation is dedicated to changing the culture, policy and practice in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and to raising awareness of eating disorders as a serious social, medical and mental health issue.

You can invest in a positive future for so many. Support our Butterfly services TODAY.
