Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society

The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society and Positive Exposure have united to produce a photographic exhibition, “Redefining Beauty”. It celebrates the lives of children and adults living with rare genetic conditions. It is through this exhibition that we are aiming to raise community awareness of rare conditions, including Chromosome 18 variations. Our next goal is to take this exhibition to both major cities as well as rural areas of Australia. We are hoping to raise enough funds through donations, to make this happen.
The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society supports individuals and families affected by rare, genetic variations located on the eighteenth chromosome. We actively pursue ways to improve our children's lives through medical research, improving educational outcomes and raising community awareness. Affected individuals experience many challenges including heart disease, developmental delay, physical and intellectual disability and epilepsy.
