Expression Australia

One in every six Australians are Deaf or hard of hearing. This is expected to rise to one in every four by 2050.

Expression Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to serve the Deaf community, hard of hearing people and any individuals who experience barriers to participation in everyday life.

Expression Australia's vision is of a society where there is full access, inclusion and equal opportunity for all.

As the Victorian Deaf Society and Tasmanian Deaf Society, Expression Australia has been supporting Deaf and hard of hearing people since 1884.

Our Work:
Expression Australia works to make its vision a reality through providing services across the following areas:

• Expression Access provides people with access to information through Auslan video productions, captioning services, livestreaming of events, notetaking, and remote and onsite interpreting services.

• Support to people through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
